Slightly later than last year, HDLive is taking place this week! November sees the return of Hull's digital and technology conference for it's second event, HDLive 2010.
So, it was a pleasure for us to agree to Intrahost becoming one of the sponsors of HDLive 2010 and continuing to support the blossoming digital economy in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The founder of HDLive, Jon Moss, can be justifiably proud of the ability of his conference to attract keen audiences and top-notch speakers. Last year saw Charles Arthur of The Guardian and Rory Cellan-Jones, the BBC's Technology Correspondent, address the conference.
Once again Jon has lined up a selection of quality speakers to deliver maximum information with the minimum drivel! This includes the return of the inspiring Anand Verma (Spaient Interactive), together with, among others, Peter Barron (Director of Communications and Public Affairs for Google in North and Central Europe and formerly of BBC's Newsnight), Brendan Dawes (Creative Director for magneticNorth, a digital design company based in Manchester), Andreas Carlsson (art director and writer at Noded.biz), and Sarah Parmenter (specialising in iOS User Interface design).
There will be a couple of workshops too, with Jaan Orvet and Steve Leighton.
You can still order tickets online for HDLive2010 which will be held at the University of Hull Business School, in the excellent Allam Lecture Theatre on November 4, 2010 starting at 08:30 am.
Ticket prices include all events and refreshments throughout the day including breakfast, coffees and a buffet lunch in the lovely Derwent Cafeteria which is in a Listed Building. There's plenty of space for mingling and chatting and, as with any event in which Jon is involved, you can be sure the coffee is wicked! Instant coffee is banned we understand :)
As you would espect with a University building it is accessible for disabled users.
So we hope to see you there on Thursday! Come and say hello!
